Day
1
You'll depart Anchorage in the morning.
- Upon arrival, your guide will give a brief orientation &
outline of your visit to Kotzebue.
- One of the major highlights of any Kotzebue visit is the NANA
Museum of the Arctic. Here, a show includes a multi-media
presentation about Arctic wildlife, an Eskimo culture slide show,
dancing and a blanket toss demonstration.
- Lunch will be on your own.
- Learn how animal hides are skinned and tanned to make clothing
such as mukluks and parkas.
- Explore the remarkable structure and life of the tundra during a
guided tundra walk.
- Visit an Inupiat Cultural Camp, where village youth and elders
will explain and demonstrate various aspects of the Inupiat
culture and lifestyle.
- Dinner will be on your own. You may have some extra time to
explore Kotzebue.
- Overnight at the Nullagvik
Hotel.
Day 2
- Breakfast will be on your own. Enjoy the
morning in the land of the midnight sun with some extra time to
explore Kotzebue.
- Say goodbye to the Arctic as you depart for
your return to Anchorage early afternoon.

Nome Adventure
Day
1
You'll depart Anchorage in the morning.
- Upon arrival in Nome, your guide will give a
brief orientation & outline of your visit to Nome and how the gold
rush shaped this frontier town.
- Lunch will be on your own. You may have some
extra time to explore Nome.
On the Nome tour, you will learn about the
exciting history of this gold rush town.
- Visit Farley's Camp, where you will see sled
dog teams in action and learn about the training and care of dog
teams.
- The city tour will continue with some time in
Nome to browse in local shops for native crafts and treasures.
- Visit Little Creek Mining Station, where you
can pan for your own gold and receive a souvenir miniature gold pan.
- Overnight at the Nome Nugget Inn.
Day 2
- Learn how animal hides are skinned and tanned

- Breakfast will be on your own. Enjoy the
morning and the extra time to explore Nome.
- Say goodbye to the Arctic as you depart for
your return to Anchorage early afternoon.

Top of The World
Day
1
You'll depart Fairbanks in the morning.
- You may see snowy owls, eider ducks and
others of the 230 bird species which summer here.
- Touch the Arctic Ocean. Walk on tundra and
permafrost.
- Stand in a whale bone arch and inside the
skeletal jaws of a bowhead whale on the shore of the Arctic Ocean.
- Learn about the original village site
mounds, which have been dated to 1200 A.D.
- See where the Inupiat Eskimos have
historically conducted whaling festivals.
- Travel to the northern-most point in North
America accessible by road.
- Back to Barrow for lunch on your own.
- Experience and take part in traditional
Inupiat dancing and see other demonstrations including a blanket
toss. Time to shop for local arts and crafts will follow at the new
Inupiat Heritage Center and Museum.
- Overnight at the Top of the World Hotel.
Dinner will be on your own. Dine at Pepe's North of the Border,
serving the finest Mexican food in the Arctic, or Arctic Pizza.
Day 2
The motorcoach will depart the hotel for the
airport approximately one hour prior to your return flight. Please check
with the hotel front desk the night before your departure.
- Say goodbye to Barrow and its Midnight Sun
as you depart for Fairbanks.
