To fix your screen resolution, first you need
to understand a few words. When instructed to minimize that means to click on
the small dash or minus sign in the top right corner just one spot or box away from
the box that contains the X (close window). A window is the program or application
area that fills your computer screen you are previously working using. The browser
is the program or application that you use to view or surf the internet with such as
Internet Exployer or Netscape. Your desktop is the first screen you see when you
first start up your computer before you ever click on start or a shortcut (icon).
First thing you do is minimize your browser
window so that you can see your desktop. Place your cursor so that it sits on an
empty section of your desktop meaning an area that does not contain a shortcut or
icon. Right click on your mouse this will bring up a box. With the mouse move
down the list till you see properties left click to bring up your desktop properties
box. You will see a selection of tabs at the top. Look through them and pick the
one labeled settings. Near the bottom of this selection you will see the sliding bar,
left click on your mouse hold and drag it to the settings of 1024 x 768, click apply.
You may or may not be prompted with a question if you want to restart your
computer or not to do this change. If you have to restart this is ok. You may
also be prompted with a question if you want to keep these settings now, click
yes or ok.
