Seward
is a small picturesque community located 230 miles south of Anchorage in
south-central Alaska. Downtown Seward sits on a small rise that
stretches from Resurrection Bay to the foot of Mount Marathon. It is the
gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park which boasts monstrous calving
glaciers along incredibly scenic coastlines. It is a wild and dramatic
view of Alaska’s glaciers and abundant wildlife. The calm waters allow
a boat to pull up close to otter, sea lions and puffins, or to drift by
the face of a glacier with a 1,000 foot wall of ice. The Sea Life Center
offers fascinating facts and exhibits in an interactive environment that
captivates visitors of all ages. The Exit Glacier is just a short drive
from downtown Seward.
