Arctic Grayling One Day Fishing Trip

Fishing trips are conducted
on clear, spring fed creeks south of Fairbanks and north of Denali National Park. All Trips include a jet boat ride;
this being the only access to reach seldom fished waters.
Wilderness Streamside Cabin
- Unguided
This trip package includes overnight lodging in a wilderness
setting. The cabin is
furnished with sleeping bunks, wood stove, propane cooking
stove and utensils to
prepare your own food. Overnight trips are evening drop off
(in one evening) and
evening pick up (out the following evening).
Arctic
Grayling - June and August Only - Guided
Grayling are found only in clear, cold, unpolluted waters of
the northern hemisphere. This cousin of the trout is one of the most unusual and
beautiful fish in Alaska. Grayling are avid top water feeders. Drifting aquatic
insects
are their primary food. In addition to lures and flies, they have also been know to take
an occasional vole or shrew
Salmon
and Arctic Grayling Combination Trips - July and September Only - Guided
King Salmon work their way into the interior from the mighty
Yukon River. They are prized for their fighting ability and endurance when hooked.
Kings can be caught on both fly and spin fishing gear.
Silver
and Chum Salmon and Arctic Grayling
September and October Only - Guided
The largest salmon run of the year in these drainages is the
silver salmon run. Silvers are very aggressive and will chase spoons, spinners and flashy
flies. Chum Salmon favor brightly dressed flies and heavy spoons. Pound for pound
Chums are considered to be one of the hardest fishing salmon species in Alaska.
