Forty-two
miles south of Anchorage is a terrific place to see Alaskan Wildlife
since its beginning in 1993, this has become a home for orphaned and
inured animals. The facility offers animal care and
rehabilitation in 140 acres of wilderness. See bison, moose,
deer, elk (from the Yukon Territory), caribou, musk oxen, bears and
eagles here. Inside the lodge is a gift store and a food court
with lunches, snacks, and beverages.
