Alaska Ticket and Tours works with several car rental agencies across the state. These companies may be locally owned or well known national companies. When you ask us to assist you, we will always search for the best value for like vehicles.
Alaska has recently passed a 10% state sales tax on car rentals. Many airports also have a tax on cars rented at airports. When available and when pick-up and drop off can be conveniently arranged, we may offer you a car rental company that operates off airport property. Depending on the time of day you arrive and depart, it may be best to simply pay the additional tax. You may choose whichever options suites you best.
In general, you must be 21 years of age to rent a car in Alaska and in some cases you must have your own insurance. When planning your Alaska trip, please remember to bring your driver’s license and proof of insurance card.
